Time’s Up! Transforming Women’s Health
It’s time. With the precision of the timing of Harvey Weinstein’s arrest, and rise of the ‘Time’s Up’ movement, Women’s Health is also up for transformation. With Corporate Medicine undermining and dismissing patients in the name of profit, we as physician’s need to stop cooperating and attend to the heart of our vocation. Yes, this requires risks but sacrificing the patriarchal values for personal ones is a worthy risk. It leads to meaning. There is no other value greater or richer than this.
Women need to be educated about how to support their changing bodies and replace fear with knowledge. It is extremely powerful.
We harness our power from the angst generated as our bodies change and transition. It’s time for us to do this together!
